What is TeleFitMD?

TeleFitMD is a digital weight loss program driven by board-certified physicians.  You’ll develop a personalized plan with your Doctor and receive the newest prescription medications at a reduced cost.  With frequent check-ins and close monitoring, our goal is to use the latest knowledge and medications to get you to your dream weight.

Who can join TeleFitMD?

Our weight loss program is designed to help individuals achieve a healthy weight. If you have a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI of 27 with one weight-related medical condition, you may be eligible for newer weight loss medications such as Wegovy or Saxenda, as well as diabetes medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro if you have type 2 diabetes. For those with a BMI less than 27, we can assist you with diet, exercise, health coaching, and prescribe medications like Topiramate, Wellbutrin, Contrave, or Plenity.

How does it work?

TeleFitMD is designed to streamline the process of medication-assisted weight loss. You can start treatment in four easy-steps.

1. Sign up. Before meeting your doctor you’ll be asked to complete a few medical intake forms. This will help us get to know you better and come up with the right plan for you.

2. Meet your doctor. Our doctors will walk you through our program and come up with a personalized plan.

3. Receive your medication at your doorstep from our mail-order pharmacy provider.

4. Personalized monthly check-ins.

How does semaglutide work? Is it any different from Wegovy, Ozempic, and Mounjaro?

Semaglutide is a safe and effective weight loss medication.

The medication is a GLP-1 agonist — it is similar to Ozempic or Wegovy.  Semaglutide was originally developed for diabetes but has been shown to be very effective for weight loss.

Semaglutide works by keeping your blood sugar low - this prevents spikes in blood sugar which lead to fat storage.

The medication also slows the passage of food through your gut, which helps you feel full earlier, and curbs appetite.

The brand-name version of this medication is notoriously expensive — around $1,100 per month.

We are able to prescribe and ship Semaglutide to your doorstep as a part of your membership.

Schedule a visit with one of our doctors to determine your eligibility and to learn more.

What side effects should I expect when taking semaglutide?

Common side effects of semaglutide are due to the medication reducing appetite and slowing down the passage of food through your gut. You may experience feeling full earlier, an increase in gas, and acid reflux. Some patients also experience an increase in their resting heart rate. Many of these will resolve after the first days to weeks of taking the medication. It's important to eat slowly, not to lie down within 1-2 hours after eating, and to discuss any side effects you're experiencing with our team.

What states is TeleFitMD available in?

California, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Arizona.

What is the process for obtaining my medication?

Once your prescription is approved, we collaborate with a third-party compounding pharmacy to fulfill it. Your medication will be shipped directly to your door at the address we have on file.

What happens if I'm not approved for semaglutide?

Our providers' services include the time spent with you during your telehealth appointment, and payment is for their expertise and service. If you are not approved for generic semaglutide, your provider may suggest alternative medical therapies that may be medically suitable for you. If you're not satisfied with these alternatives, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all payments.

Do I get to pick my provider?

Yes. As long as your desired provider is licensed in the state you are in, you can choose your doctor.

Does TeleFitMD accept insurance?

We currently do not accept any health insurance plans.  We are able to provide generic semaglutide at a reduced cost through a third-party compounding pharmacy. Members are responsible for the cost of the service.

How much does it cost?

All pricing is available on our website with no extra charges. Here is the breakdown of your monthly payment:

- $299/month covers all TeleFitMD services, including your initial consultation, medication delivered to your door, monthly virtual doctor visits, 24/7 online chat support, and access to educational material.

- If your dosage requirement exceeds 1.5 mg per week, the price of our monthly membership is $350/month.

Can I use my HSA to pay for my medication?

Yes. Prescriptions are approved medical expenses, so you can use your HSA and FSA funds to pay for your semaglutide.

What if I need to cancel my subscription?
